Terms of Service

Last updated October 18, 2026

These terms govern use of Keystone Escrow and its escrow, account-funding, payout, messaging, identity-verification, and dispute-review features. By creating or accepting a deal, you agree to these terms and the terms saved on that deal.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must provide accurate information, keep your sign-in credentials secure, and use your own account. We may require email, identity, or transaction verification before allowing funding, release, refund, or payout.

2. Escrow deals

The buyer and seller are responsible for writing accurate deal terms, including the item or service, amount, delivery expectations, and inspection period. Keystone Escrow is not a party to the underlying sale and does not guarantee the quality, legality, or fitness of what is exchanged.

3. Funding and held amounts

When a buyer funds a deal, the amount is deducted from the buyer’s available balance and recorded as held funds. Held funds cannot be withdrawn or reused while the deal is funded, delivered, or disputed.

4. Delivery and release

The seller may mark a funded deal delivered. The buyer should review delivery against the agreement before releasing funds. A completed release is final except where applicable law requires otherwise.

5. Cancellation, refunds, and disputes

An unfunded deal may be cancelled. Once funded, a party may open a dispute while funds remain held. The parties authorize an administrator to review the agreement, deal activity, messages, and submitted explanation, and to release the held amount to the seller or refund it to the buyer.

6. Prohibited use

You may not use the platform for illegal goods or services, fraud, sanctions evasion, money laundering, impersonation, unauthorized payment activity, or transactions designed to conceal the true parties or purpose.

7. Fees and payment providers

Applicable fees and payment-provider terms must be shown before the relevant transaction. External payment providers may apply their own processing times, limits, reversals, and compliance checks.

8. Suspension and records

We may pause an account or transaction to investigate security, legal, compliance, or ownership concerns. Deal and account records may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy and as required by law.

9. Service availability and liability

The service is provided subject to availability. To the extent permitted by law, Keystone Escrow is not liable for indirect losses, the underlying item or service, or losses caused by false information supplied by a user.
